SQL Server
- Identifying SqlConnection objects in a dump. Remus Rusanu is doing cool WinDbg debugging to finding out ADO.Net connection pool exhaust issues.
- What made Porting Microsoft SQL Server to Linux to be the right move after all. Slava Oks writes about Microsoft’s “secret sauce”, which made porting SQL Server to Linux possible.
Streaming
- How to Build and Deploy Scalable Machine Learning in Production with Apache Kafka. A very interesting post discussing potential use cases for machine learning in real time applications using Apache Kafka and Apache Kafka’s Streams API to build intelligent streaming applications.
Computing
- Microsoft makes play for next wave of computing with quantum computing toolkit. Wow, just wow!! Microsoft are looking towards quantum computing and have showed off a new quantum computing programming language which will integrate into Visual Studio!!
Data Science
- News Roundup from Microsoft Ignite. Microsoft’s Ignite conference took place this week, and the Revolution Analytics guys posts some data science highlights.
- In-database Machine Learning in SQL Server 2017. At the Ignite conference SQL Server 2017 was “officially” released, and together with it also the Machine Learning Services. This post points out some of the highlights.
- Introducing Microsoft Machine Learning Server 9.2 Release. Microsoft R Server has been transformed into Microsoft Machine Learning Server, and during Ignite version 9.2 was released. This post talks about some of the new features.
